The Former Minister of Defense in Uganda Dr. Chrispas Kiyonga has urged the public to feed on balanced diet.
He says eating well ensures good body organ functioning and fight malnutrition.
Dr. Kiyonga said the ultimate natural protector of our bodies against disease is the immune system and its efficiency and integrity is dependent on good nutrition.
Addressing education stakeholders at a fundraising drive at St. Raphael vocational Secondary school-Nyamighera in Nyakiyumbu sub-county recently, Dr. Kiyonga, a champion in cassava growing revealed that by the end of next year cassava import will be history in Kasese district now that he has donated cassava cuttings to farmers across the district, later encouraging people to eat foods that supplement cassava flour.

Mr. Sunday Peter Kakule, the chairperson local council three for Nyakiyumbu sub-county, commended Government for allocating funds for the rehabilitation of Kayanja-Ndongo and Munkunyu road.
