Leaders and supporters of the Democratic Party in Kasese District were reported uncertain about what next after the party’s presidential candidate Norbert Mao failed to show up for his campaigns.
Hon. Mao was expected in Kasese district yesterday’s afternoon (11th.November.2020) but nothing much had been known about his arrival by close to 5pm.
The Kasese District DP Chairperson Deus Kule says that Mao was also supposed to present the DP candidates in the district to boost their support but that Police had directed him not to have big rallies.
He said police had asked the candidate to do most of his meetings through talk shows that calling for big meetings. Mr. Deus speaking….
The National DP Secretary for Women affairs, Ms Bernadette Businge Nziabake said that they were prepared to receive their candidate but were yet to establish the reason for his change of his arrival time schedule. END
