It was all excitement by the local residents of Kihara cell in Kasese municipality after Mr. Douglas Yofesi Saturday Madaraka extended clean and safe water to the area.
Ms Joselin Masika and Yodes Musangyi, were among the local residents who appreciated Mr. Madaraka, the Executive Directir for Madaraka Cares, for the project they describe as a life gift to them.
According to most mothers interviewed, dirty water from River Kihara was largely the source of diseases, and that the long distances for clean water, was partly the reason for the increasing cases of domestic violence among many couples. Ms Joseline and Yodes speaking……
Addressing the community members during the official launch of the water project at Kihera trading center, Kihara cell, Nyamwamba Division in Kasese Municipality yesterday, Mr. Madaraka said the river water that the community depended on; was not only a disaster to life but a wastage of time as locals walked long for clean and safe water.
Mr. Madaraka asked the local residents of Kihara cell to fully support his political ambitions, pledging to embark on a major water project that would cover Butsumbamuro should he go through to parliament.

He later announced plans open up an agro-chemical shop to loan the local farmers with affordable and reliable agro-inputs to improve the quality and quantities of produce. Mr. Madaraka speaking……
He called for unified and peaceful political campaigns among the locals to minimize uncalled for tensions. END
