Kasese Municipal Central Division in Kasese Municipality has passed a draft budget estimate of about 3.3 billion shillings for FY 2024 -2025, prioritizing the construction of markets and Construction of roads to improve local revenue collection.
Other priorities were to fund health centers and the installation of solar panels at Railway health Centre three to improve health services among the locals in the division.
Speaking to Hon. Jonard Makoma, the Division Vice chairperson who doubles as the secretary for Finance, Planning and administration, said next financial year budget targets the construction of stalls in Kirembe and Katadoba markets, as well as installing solar panels at Railway health Centre three for stable power and minimizing electricity bills at the facility.
