A delegation from Kasese Cathedral Parish Diocese of Kasese has today conducted special prayers along Kasese-Mbarara Highway dedicating the Road to Jesus Christ following the rising number of accidents.
The Priests, Lay faithful and Rev.Sisters started their Journey from our Lady of Assumption Kasese Cathedral Church at 09.00am, via Kasese Round about and Proceeded to Nyamirangira one of the accident hotspot, climaxing with Holy Mass in Kyababinga.
Speaking to our reporter shortly after Holy Mass held at Kyengereza Petrol Station in Kyababinga Cell in Kasese Municipality, Rev.Fr.Anyesio Mbusa, the Director Caritas Kasese said the local community requested Kasese Cathedral Parish to organize special prayers, which they believe could cleanse accidents that has claimed lives of people and left others hospitalized.
Fr. Anyasio, however urged drivers and boda-boda cyclists to desist against driving under the influence of Alcohol and observe traffic rules and regulations ahead of Christmas festivals, as religious leaders continue to pray for their Journey mercies. Fr. Anyasio speaking…
Rev.Fr. Moris Thembo, the curate Ibanda Parish in his Homily said with God everything is possible, therefore appealing to believers in Christ to have hope that God will perform miracles this year.

Mr. Laurence Bwambale, the local council one chairperson for Kirembe cell, hailed Kasese Cathedral Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Kirungi for honoring their request to have Prayers along the highway especially at Kyababinga Junction, that the locals has allegedly perceived as deadly hotspot. Rev. Fr. Moris Thembo was assisted by Rev. Fr. Ednus Mumbere and Rev. Sisters among others. END.
