The Kasese Municipal town clerk, Mr. Isaiah Tumwesigye has warned developers against paying taxes under what he called a black system that does not allow issuing of receipts, saying that such was illegal and calls for punishment.
Speaking to Kasese Guide radio at his office yesterday, Mr. Isaiah warned that his office has no sympathies for traders who pay taxes behind curtains than coming out officially to fulfill their obligations.
Mr. Isaiah who threatened to deal with his officials that are promoting bribes asked the Kasese Municipal developers to pay taxes that will back central government efforts to deliver services to them.
