The health of Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah has greatly improved, his deputy, Anita Among told Parliament yesterday.
Addressing the plenary, Among said she would like to inform the country that Speaker Jacob Oulanyah was in a very good state and has been able to speak to many MPs before thanking God for the Speaker`s current health state.
The same day, Oulanyah, through his official Twitter account, thanked Ugandans for their good wishes.
Early this month, it was revealed that Oulanyah had been flown to the US for specialized treatment upon discharge from the Mulago National Referral Hospital, where he had been admitted.
He has not been in Parliament ever since plenary sittings resumed after the festive season. END
