Mr. Zepher Mubingwa, the Kasese Deputy Resident District Commissioner in charge of Busongora County has asked faith based institutions to continue incorporating messages on poverty elevation into their teachings for purposes of nurturing economically independent communities.
He was confident that with the economically empowered communities, God’s work can be supported without any much huddles.
Addressing mourners at the burial of the late Kezia Musoki 75 in Muramba village, Bugoye sub-county in Kasese district yesterday, Mr. Mubingwa attributed the deteriorating morals, faith and failing Church projects to poverty as a result of low income levels among community members.
Mr. Mubingwa who warned beneficiaries of government funds aimed at supporting their household incomes spent on marrying other women and drinking themselves, also called for joint efforts to popularize the gospel of hard work without which, poverty levels and lawlessness would be on the rise.
In his sermon, Rev. Deacon Simon Bwambale, urged Christians to emulate the late Kezia who lived patiently and cleaved herself to the Lord despite the challenges she went through during her prolonged sickness.

The former Ugandan Ambassador to the DR-Congo, James Mbahimba, and Hon. Rabson Magoma, the district councilor for Maliba sub-county, urged mourners to prioritize education for a legacy.
Earlier, Mr. Patrick Nyamunungu, the Sociologist for Railway-18 construction Company working on the Kasese Municipality roads, described her late mother as God fearing, loving and a promoter of education despite being illiterate. May the soul of the deceased rest in Peace. END.
