Leaders in Rwenzori region have been asked to exercise good leadership skills that will cause development of the region.

Earlier, Mr. Francis Opio, an official from Kabarole Research and Resource Centre –KRC had highlighted some of the challenges that the region had kept embroiled in as; ethnic conflicts due to past histories, land disputes due to population growth, political and electoral violence among others. The leaders’ retreat under the theme “Transformative leadership for Peaceful Regional Development” attracted several leaders across all districts in the Rwenzori Region who later pledged to ensure a peaceful election processes come 2026 general elections.
