Lt. Maate Magwara, the Kasese Deputy Resident District Commissioner in charge of Bukonzo County has called for peaceful land conflict resolution he said saves time and resources, as well creating harmony between the worrying parties.
Addressing hundreds of local residents during a community harmonization meeting aimed at resolving the Abathangyi and Abahira clan land dispute in Mubale village, Kaghema in Kyalhumba subcounty yesterday, Lt. Magwara recalls many land conflicts fueled by some self-seekers, especially the young people targeting to reap from where they did not sow.
The retired UPDF officer who called for close consultations from the elders or finally court on matters of land, threatened to indiscriminately deal with whoever intends promote tension over the same matter nearing resolution. Lt. Mangwara speaking…….
