The death toll for the yesterday’s suspected bomb blast at a Church in Kasindi, North Kivu Province in the Democratic Republic of Congo, could have risen to more than forty, the Former Minister of Defense of Uganda, Dr. Crispus Kiyonga has said.
According to his press release that was accessed by Kasese Guide Radio last evening, Dr. Kiyonga who is also the NRM Chairperson for Kasese district said more than 40 people were killed and scores killed as suspected terrorists detonated a bomb at a Pentecostal Church near Lhubiriha market at the Uganda-DR Congo border.
The seemingly depressed Dr. Kiyonga who sympathized with the bereaved families, prays that God rests the souls of the deceased in eternal peace and heals the survivors who are currently undergoing medication.
The medical doctor turned politician who called for neighborhood watch, argues the community for vigilance against suspicious people who in most cases target crowds.
He also called on local council one chairpersons to be tougher against family heads and landlords who are not willing to report register visitors. END
