Over fourteen thousand Ugandans are to be directly employed only by Oil pipeline project, with a call on Uganda citizens to fully support the oil and gas project, the Information and Communication Technology, and National Guidance Minister, Hon. Judith Nabakooba has said.

Addressing a press conference at Magherita Hotel in Kasese yesterday, Hon. Nabakooba revealed about forty thousand Ugandans would also indirectly be employed by the contracting companies in the sector now that 57% of the employees must be Ugandans according to the Memorandum of understanding. Hon. Nabakooba who sounded disappointed that the locals were investing much in un timely political talks than developments, asked the media to turn into government Ambassadors to un earth and explain more about the government developments that many Ugandans especially in the opposition politics are not willing to talk about.
