Cross border business between Uganda and DR-Congo in Kasese district is yet resume, Mr. Selevest Mapoze, the Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council local council three chairperson has said.
In an interview with this radio this afternoon in Kasese town, Mr. Mapoze said they were finalizing this month plans that include among others, looking into the possibility of phasing out the mandatory COVID-19 tests and Visas that have interrupted the flow of cross borders traders, most of who find it inconveniencing and costly to deal with. Mr. Mapoze who warned the locals against luxurious expenditures, later announced that President Museveni was expected in Kasese district this month to re-open the Uganda-DR-Congo border for business.
