The Director of Public Prosecutions has ordered the trial of an 18-year-old man for allegedly defiling a 3-year-old girl.
Mr. Robert Aziki was committed to the High Court for trial by Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayizzi where the State Attorney Ivan Kyazza informed court that police investigations were complete.
Prosecution alleges that on the night of July 23, 2023, at Arua Park in Kampala Central Division, the accused sexually assaulted the juvenile whose mother had left sleeping at around 2am on the veranda of Nyumbakubwa building while she sold tea along Wilson Road.
The accused, a casual laborer who claimed he did it because the victim’s mother had sold his shoes, is said to have previously defiled the same girl but was forgiven. END
