The Kasese Chief Magistrate’s Court has today issued a caution to one Boda-Boda rider and remanded another to Mubuku Government Prison until 14, October 2025, on allegations of defiling a 13-year-old girl.
Court, presided over by His Worship George Mfitundinda, heard that in April 2025, while in Katadoba Cell, Kasese Municipality, Mr. Azad Seguya a Boda-Boda rider operating at Katadoba Stage allegedly defiled a Primary Six pupil.
However, the same girl was again found engaging in sexual activity earlier this month with another Boda-Boda rider, Mr. Elijah Masereka, also from Katadoba Stage.
Despite admitting to having had sexual relations with both riders now one in custody, the girl told court that neither of them is responsible for the pregnancy. She claimed the pregnancy resulted from a rape incident involving another man, which she never reported.
In his ruling, His Worship Mfitundinda cautioned both suspects, Mr. Elijah and Mr. Seguya 23 over what he termed as the irresponsible act of “sharing the same girl,” before remanding Mr. Seguya.
Speaking to our reporter, the minor’s Mother, Ms. Faith Muhindo, expressed her dissatisfaction with the court proceedings.
