The International Crimes Division court in Uganda has further remanded 79 Rwenzururu Royal guards until 8th November, 2022 for Pre-trial conferencing of their Bail application.
Virtual Court presided over by Hon. Lady Justice Alice Komuhangi, said after taking Roll call via Zoom of all Rwenzururu Royal Guards from their respective courts including, Fort portal High court, Bundibugyo, Kasese ,Upper Prison Luzira and Jinja, remanded them back after failing to produce all the required documents.
Court heard that while in Kasese district and some parts of Rwenzori Region, the Rwenzururu Royal guards and His majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma were raided by security over treason.
Court has set 28th October, 2022, as submission of supplimantary affidavit by Rwenzururu lawyers to help seventy Nine Royal guards secure court bail.
