Hon. Rita Biira, the Kasese district woman councilor representing Kisinga town council and Kisinga subcounty in Kasese district calls for expedited plans to have Queen Elizabeth National Park fully fenced to tame wild beasts she says have made life hard to the local residents of Kisanga cell in Kisinga town council.
She was also concerned that no efforts have been made by Uganda Wildlife Authority leadership since Wednesday last week when the beasts embarked on their destructive shifts.
Speaking to our reporter yesterday, Hon. Rita who said the Kisinga town council Speaker survived an attack by the same elephants, described the evasion of the wild beasts on gardens as double jeopardy to the community that was recently hit by floods. Hon. Rita speaking1…….
She attributes the challenge of elephants to the unfenced space between Kabirizi and Nyamugasani River along the national park. END.
