Mr. Kasenya Thembo, the local council one chairperson for Kiburara village, Kisinga subcounty in Kasese district, has warned cotton growers against those he called conmen and impersonators that are likely to dup local farmers into suspicious cotton prices.
During a phone interview this morning, Mr. Kasenya also warned that whereas some cotton buyers have appeared with relatively better cotton prices, most of them have twisted their weighing scales with an aim of cheating un suspicious local farmers.
He therefore insisted that the local farmers be more conscious against dealing with new and un identified cotton buyers who do not only target high profits from cotton and mindless about the grievances of farmers but cannot easily be traced in case of any transaction anomaly.
