The Kasese Resident District Commissioner, Lt. Joe Walunsimbi has called for total cooperation between the Wanainchi and their children in uniform for continued peace in Uganda.
Lt. Walunsimbi’s comments follow an incident where a twenty five-year old Mr. Mumbere Mazyo Mambura, a resident of Kabarole village in the DR Congo was shot in the leg by a UPDF officer after declining to respond to lawful orders as he used a porous border route to Uganda.
Lt. Walunsimbi said looking at the security threats back in the DR Congo, the local community ought to act responsibly and in a manner that gives confidence and support to the combat operators along the borders of the two brotherly countries. Lt. Walunsimbi speaking1…….

Earlier over the weekend, the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu called upon leaders of all churches in Uganda to gather information about new members in their congregations before encouraging vigilance and reports about any individuals who appear suspicious within their communities.
