Lt. Maate Magwara, the Kasese Deputy Residents Commissioner in charge of Bukonzo County has called for an audit into the construction works on the Katholhu-Kayanja road he says could be lacking in quality.
Early this year, government through Kasese District local government allocated over eight billion shillings under emergency road funds for the construction works that include among others, opening and widening, installation of culverts and tarmacking of the 8.7 kilometer road.
Addressing G-18 members at Pana-Africa Hippo Beach-hotel at Kayanja fish landing cite, Nyakiyumbu subcounty in Kasese district yesterday, Lt. Magwara said he was not satisfied with the way work on the low cost tarmac road was being done, adding that he was going to write to the Ministry of Works about his doubts. Lt. Magwara speaking……
