An autopsy is an important surgical procedure that the local community must be sensitized about and own to answer future queries, Mr. Isaac Kalyabuma, the local council two chairperson for Nyakabingo Ward in Kasese Municipality has advised.
He said in circumstances where one’s death is forced and surrounded by theories, a postmortem which involves thorough examination of a corpse by dissection to determine the cause, mode, and manner of death, must be welcomed by all.
In his address to mourners in Kyaminyoku cell in Kasese Municipality yesterday at the burial of a 15 year old senior two student of Bwera Sec School, Desmond Masereka, who is reported to have been suffocated by a burning charcoal stove, Mr. Kalyabyuma called for a positive mindset that would see some community members understand when, where and why certain things are done than maintaining a life of propaganda and ignorance.
