    Communications week opened in the Diocese of Kotido

    The communications week has opened in the Diocese of Kotido with a call on the communicators to execute their duties for love and the peace of the hearts of Gods people. In his opening yesterday, the Bishop of the diocese of Kotido, Rt. Rev. Giuseppe Filippi described communication as a fundamental pillar of life and that if used in the right way, relieves and delivers peace as promoted by the living Christ. Bishop Filippe emphasized that communicators need to use their vocation to usher in peace, reconciliation and unity among Gods people especially by putting right the misinformation particularly on social media.     The National Executive Director for Social Communications, Fr. Philip Oddi asked the communicators to make good analysis and use of the Holy Sea`s guidance to communicators who he said need to share experience that will in turn guide their operations back home in future. Fr. Oddi speaking……
    Bishop Joseph Franzel, the chairman of Social Communications in the Uganda Episcopal Conference regretted COVOID-19 pandemic which he said must be turned into an opportunity for communicators to join the Pope in prayer against disease but also reminding government about other illnesses, like malaria and cancer among others whose treatment had seem neglected for the Corona fight.     Earlier, Fr. Oddi had asked the communicators to fully support their dioceses in organizing both the national and world communications day celebrations. END
