Conservation and Demand Agency –CODEA is to implement a tree growing project entitled “Livelihoods Rwenzori Yethu” in the Rwenzori sub-Region with specific concentration in Kasese and Ntoroko districts.
The goal of the twenty years project is to bring about positive transformation in the livelihoods of Fifteen thousand smaller holder farmers.
Mr.Lazarous Bwambale, the project Manager told an inception meeting this afternoon at Rwenzori International Hotel in Kasese town that this will be achieved through the strategic planting of over three million tree seedlings on five thousand hectares of land and 1.4 million linear meters of boundary planting.

The project will benefit 22 sub-counties in Kasese and 3 sub-counties in Ntoroko district with twenty percent beneficiaries being women.
