Over 150 government civil servant veterans whose contracts were terminated in the early 1970’s and 80’s will soon receive their package, the state minister of public service, Hon. Muruli Mukasa has said.

Addressing the media shortly after a three hour meeting with Kasese district leadership at Kasese multipurpose hall in Kasese town, Hon Muruli Mukasa said that according to the laws of the country someone who serves in this government and reaches a retirement needs to receive the termination package which they didn’t get.
The minister observed that they have been concerns raised by former government workers who worked in government between1970s and 80s for Kasese and Bundibugyo but never received their termination package in connection to their sections of work including working in corporative, security, trade among others. The Kasese district chairman Mr. Sibendire Bigogo Geoffrey Thembo remained the minister to allocate funds to fill the vacant places in the district and the new administration units so that services reach the people.

Meanwhile the chief administration officer for Kasese district, Mr. Amis Asuman Masereka was opportunistic for the long serving civil servant who joined government in the early 70s to be paid their termination packages now that the minister has revealed. Mr. Amis on veteran package……
