Rev. Eric Mbusa, the chaplain for Busunga primary school in Kyinyamaseke Archdeaconry of South Rwenzori Diocese has asked individual Churches to put up structures that caters for the interests of the Persons with Disabilities.
He said whereas the Diocesan planning and development office of his diocese was concerned about the interests of the PWDs during the structural plan approvals for individual Churches, some implementing leaders have not done much to fulfill what is required of them.
In his speech during a one-day advocacy meeting for PWDs organized by Maltster International held at Verina Gardens in Kasese Municipality yesterday, Rev. Eric who was responding to concerns that some PWDs hardly go to Church over accessibility challengers, asked faith based institutions to change to inclusive approaches to cater for this vulnerable category of people.
