Hundreds of Christians from Kitabu Catholic Parish in Kasese district yesterday joined the rest of the world in the ecumenical way of the cross, a religious practice where Christians of different denominations come together to commemorate the Stations of the Cross.
Christians walked in solidarity through Kitabu sub-county, a devotion that reflects on the final journey of Jesus Christ to Calvary.
Carrying crucifix and crosses, the faithful’s walked and knelt down at each of the 15 Stations of the Cross that commemorates Jesus Christ’s last day on Earth as a man.
Presiding over service, Rev Fr. David Kiiza, the Parish Priest, urged Christians to remain steadfast in their faith and have penance.
