The Bishop of the Diocese of Kasese, Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira has described poverty as an enemy to humankind being a source of violence thus, encouraging Christians to work hard for a living.
Addressing the congregation that turned up for Divine Mercy Sunday Holy Mass at St. Michael Kabuyiri Shrine, Bishop Kibira called for massive tree and crop planting as means for food security and improved household incomes against poverty that he largely blamed for domestic violence and low education levels among many community members, mainly children.
