Rev. Fr. Charles Kagheni, the Parish priest for Kacungiro Pastoral center, has called on Christians to wholeheartedly embrace prayer, fasting, alms-giving and independence as essential pillars of spiritual renewal throughout the Lenten season.
During the Ash Wednesday Holy Mass at Citizens secondary school in Munkunyu sub-county, Fr.Kagheni urged the faithful to view Ash Wednesday as a time for self-examination, repentance and deepening their relationship with God.
He emphasized that through prayer, believers seek God’s guidance; through fasting, they discipline their desires; and through alms-giving, they are reminded to care for those in need. Fr. Kagheni speaking….
