    Christians showed bravery to hold the way of cross though heavy downpour delayed

    Meanwhile reports from other parishes in the Dioceses of Kasese indicate that the way of the cross was delayed by the heavy down pour that also showered the brave Christians celebrating yesterday`s event of (15th.April.2022).

    In Kyabikere parish according to our correspondent Mr. Julius Makanika, the flooded river Lhubiriha forced Christians to divert the way of the Cross to Bikunya at the sixth station where Veronica wiped Jesus’ face. Mr. Julius speaking…….

    In Nyakahya parish the way of the cross started at Karambi playground, with the catechist for Kamukumbi sub parish, Mr. Francis Bwambale saying they prayed a number of intentions including, a good planting rainy season, peace in DR Congo, school going children, pregnant Mothers among others. Mr. Francis speaking……

    In Kitwamba parish, our communicator Mr. Emmy Geoffrey reported that the way of the cross started one hour late due to heavy rains but this did not stop Fr. Peter Basaliza and Fr. Charles Kagheni together with Christians to pray all the fourteen stations during the journey that started at Boma grounds in Kitswamba Town council to the parish church.

    In Katwe Parish, according to our communicator Mr. Deo Balyebuga, about five hundred Christians started the way of the cross led by the parish Priest Fr. Alex Musinguzi at Uganda wild life training institute, with a call on all Christians to cast their burdens to the cross.

    At Kabuyiyi Divine Mercy shrine the way of the cross led by Fr. Julius Bwambale and Fr. Kihembu is reported to have caused traffic jam, forcing army vehicle from DR Congo to park along the road in Nyabugando cell for several minutes. END
