Mr. Wilson Kambasu, a Chinese language teacher at Bwera secondary school in Kasese district has called for the promotion of foreign language teaching which he said promote tourism and trade, as well as making learners more competitive internationally.
Speaking to our reporter at the school premises over the weekend, Mr. Kambasu whose pilot Chinese learners have reached senior three this years, said cleaving to local languages has not only failed young people from exploring other areas but frustrated efforts for exposure and international demand.
