Chief Magistrate’s court at Kasese has sentenced to one year in prison, Mr. Azad Seguya, a twenty year old boda-boda rider for defiling a fourteen-year-old school girl.
Court Presided over by Kasese Chief Magistrate, His Worship George Mfitundinda, heard that in April 2025 while in Katadoba cell in Kasese Municipality, Mr. Seguya who took plea of guilty, defiled the victims.
Speaking to our Reporter shortly after court session, the Defense Counsel, Mr. Luke Kanyonyi from Kanyonyi and Co. Advocates, said he had asked court for a lenient sentence looking at the parental roles by the convict, being a first time offender, wasting no much time and court resources. Counsel Kanyonyi………
Ms Faith Muhindo, the victim’s mum welcomed the ruling she said will send a signal to the rest of the men messing up with teen girls.

The Executive director Kasese Youth Link, Mr. Ronald Kato had earlier hailed Ms Faith for refusing to be diverted by small gifts from the convict’s family. END
