Mr. Safari Martine, the chairperson local council three for central division in Kasese Municipality has decried the increasing rate of theft and vandalism of government properties.
In his state of affairs during council session held this afternoon at the division council hall in Kasese town, Safari said unknown people have reportedly stole iron bars on the recently constructed Gabions under USMID program along the drainage channels.
He also reported to council that three hardware shops and pharmacy including, Robtex, Wazima, Basole and Abacus were broken into by suspected thieves. Mr. Safari speaking……
Mr. Safari also revealed that criminals have started targeting mobile agents in Kasese Municipality, therefore calling for vigilance about suspected persons.
Some councilors concurred with Safari about insecurity in Kasese town, therefore calling for urgent intervention by the district security committee to have the suspects arrested and prosecuted.
