Mr. Selevano Masereka, the Bank Manager Centenary Kasese Branch, has asked People in Kasese district to be financially disciplined and avoid spending recklessly if they are to alleviate themselves of poverty.
He was speaking today at the commissioning of the office and Management Committee of People and Nature Rwenzori Mountain Cooperative Society Ltd in Kidodo cell, Central Division in Kasese Municipality.
Mr. Selevano, urged the management committee led by Ms. Thasoma Norah, to focus on financial management and record keeping to avoid deficits.Mr. Selevano speaking….
He reaffirmed Centenary Bank partnership with People and Nature in promoting business for improved livelihood at household levels.
Selevano, cautioned the organization board against interfering with the operations of cooperative Management committee.
Mr. Jackson Mumbere, the Executive Director People and Nature Rwenzori Mountain revealed that forty groups around Kasese district had registered in the cooperative with 1,200 tree farmers, with a goal to have 20% incomes and food security by 2024-2030.
