The Manager of Corporate Affairs and Communication at Centenary Bank, Ms. Allen Ayebare, has called on the leadership of Kasese District to strengthen their partnership with the bank in tree planting initiatives aimed at combating climate change.
Speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting held at the district headquarters yesterday, Ms. Ayebare stated that Centenary Bank is committed to promoting tree planting in Kasese through collaboration with the local leadership.
Mr. Emmanuel Otuko, Manager of the Sustainability Program at Centenary Bank, emphasized that the bank’s efforts extend beyond providing loans.
He highlighted the bank’s involvement in environmental conservation and revealed that Centenary Bank had donated 15 million shillings to Kasese District Local Government. The funds are designated for tree planting at the district headquarters and the Kasese Multipurpose Hall.
