The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 160 after 21 people tested positive according to results released by the Uganda Virus Research Institute.
The new cases include: Ugandans, Kenyans, Tanzanians and South Sudanese who arrived via Mutukula, Busia and Elegu borders.
Details of the positive cases are yet to be released by health ministry officials but reports say they were part of 1,896 samples that were tested last evening.
Last evening’s positive cases if all are from truck drivers bring the number of those who have tested positive to 100. END
