Candidates eying for the local council five, Mayoral and Member of Parliament seats in Forum for Democratic Change party in Kasese district have joined their counterparts in Uganda to pick nomination forms for the positions, Kasese Guide Radio can reliably report.
Speaking to the media at the party offices in Kasese town this afternoon, Mr. Ronald Bwambale Kabuku, the party chairperson in Kasese said other than the academic qualifications and national identity cards among other requirements, candidates are to source for nominees and seconders for the nomination exercise slated for 9th and 10th June 2025 ahead of the vetting exercise days later.
Mr. Misairi Thembo Kahungu Ogga, a celebrated journalism in Rwenzori sub-region and a lawyer in the making eyeing the Bukonzo County East seat, said his candidature was a pillar for cement objective opposition politics aimed at promoting service delivery to his electorates in his constituency. Mr. Abdul Saadi, the current local council three chairperson for Maliba town council, said his candidature for the local council five seat, is mainly to reorganize the district against corruption, including the popular commercialized civil service job acquisition.
