Cabinet has directed that all Parish Development Model-Beneficiaries who allegedly received less than one million shillings must claim for the balance to make one million, as earlier approved by government.
In a cabinet extract accessed by this Radio, Cabinet realized that some beneficiaries of Parish development Model in Uganda have either received less funds or nothing, a strategy which is against PDM.
President Museveni who chaired cabinet directed that Parish development model program should focus on the most vulnerable people who are not earning anything for a living.
He was disappointed to learn that Parish chiefs and community development officers were soliciting bribes from PDM beneficiaries, urging the local community to report perpetrators to police so that they can start with investigations.
In a telephone interview this afternoon, the Member of Parliament for Busongora County North in Kasese district, Hon.Sowedi Kitanywa, said the directive should be treated with the urgency it deserves.
