Government has secured funds and completed survey to revamp the Bwera gravity water scheme, punching holes into claims by Hon. Godfrey Katusabe who claimed to have lobbied the funds for the work but Kasese district local government had failed to put them to use.
In an interview with Kasese Guide Radio on Sunday last week, the Bukonzo West legislator, asked the Kasese district leadership to explain the reasons to why the 200 billion shillings he lobbied from President Museveni had never been spent to revamp and extend to other areas, the Bwera water flow scheme. Speaking to our reporter at his office yesterday, Mr. Muhindi who said the water was not for irrigation as the legislator puts it, revealed that the project resurvey whose report is already complete, was part of the undertaking he asked the Legislator to consult more about than making what the chairman perceived to be misleading statements.

Mr. Muhindi said whereas some politicians were free to associate with the project that the district lobbied from government, it was disturbing for one to disregard the efforts of the players by misrepresenting the investment before the local population. Mr. Muhindi speaking2……
