    Busongora South parliamentary by-election results have left one dead

    The local residents of Misika cell, Nyamwamba Division in Kasese Municipality have been left perplexed over the said severe beating of one Mr. Timothy Baluku Kima 52 who later breathed his last this morning.

    Whereas no official comment yet from Police, some community members interviewed attach the death of Mr. Timothy to political dissatisfaction over the outcome of the Busongora South by-elections where the deceased worked as Mr. Mujungu`s polling agent in Kabwe of Mbunga Subcounty in Kasese district.

    Mr. Mujungu was declared winner of the poll after beating his closest political rival, Hon. Jackson Mbaju Kathika with a difference of 5,222 votes.

    Hon. Mujungu`s Political Assistant, Mr. Stephen Muatakengwa described the incident as un fortunate, asking political players to promote politics of peace and unification that will translate into development. Mr. Mutakengwa speaking…….

    Ms Paskelina Mbambu, a sister to the deceased said his brother who died at Mt. St. Marty`s hospital in Kasese Municipality this morning kept complaining of stomach complications believed to have been caused by the said beating by the suspect under police investigations.

    Separately, Mr. Peter Masereka, the deceased`s supervisor at SWATT, a private security company in Kasese, described the late Timothy as a responsible hardworking and peaceful man whose brutal beating in regrettable. Mr. Peter speaking…….
