Some local council leaderships in Busongora county North in Kasese district have decried the poor state of roads in their area.
Speaking to our reporter in Hima town council yesterday, Mr. Hudson Musale, the local council three chairperson for Buhuhira subcounty, who says many of their roads were destroyed during the recent rainy season calls for urgent plans by the district leadership to have the roads worked on for easy communication. To Mr. Milton Mbwarara, the local council three chairperson for Kanyatsi-Kithoma town council, most farmers are the direct victims of poor road network as it’s the only way to transport their produce to markets.
Mr. Mbwarara also appealed to the government to consider establishing a mini border post in the area in a bid to foster business, transportand ease movements with the parts of DR Congo in addition to offloading from the main post in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council.
