Mr. Francis Pokopoko, a famous transporter and business man in Kasese district has officially handed over a piece of land, a Church, a lay reader’s house and music instruments to South Rwenzori Diocese with a call on Christians to love one another, promote reconciliation and unity for peace and development.
In his same speech read for him by Mzee Barnabas Bamusedee Bwambale, the former Kasese district local council five chairperson, Mzee Pokopoko said whereas he had supported the construction of St. James Kyempara, Katholhu and Kayanzi among other churches, he asked his Vicar to clear his family prayer sessions at his home over his ill health; resulting into the construction of St. Francis Besenia Church of Uganda he calls his tithe he said he was innocently cheated from God.

In his speech after laying the foundation, Bishop. Nason Baluku, the Bishop of South Rwenzori diocese, described Mzee Pokopoko as a committed bible reader, disciplinarian, a hard worker and focused man.
