The Central Organizing Committee for the homecoming of the Rwenzururu King, Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma has officially commissioned it’s Bundibugyo chapter for resource mobilization.
The newly commissioned chapter comprises fourteen members led by Elisha Maate Sabadu.
Officiating at the commissioning ceremony, the Central Committee Chairperson, Dr. Nathaniel Mumbere Walemba said the Bundibugyo chapter would be reporting to the Central Committee to realize the required nine billion shillings for the homecoming of the King, the coronation anniversary and procure Springs International Hotel located in Kasese Municipality.
Dr. Walemba the central chairperson said the committee is also responsible for preaching the message of peace, unity and co-existence in diversity.
Lt. Col. Alex Bright Nzirimu, the Bundibugyo Resident District Commissioner who pledged total support to the current Kingdom mobilization, asked the Rwenzururu kingdom subjects to embrace unity and development in the Rwenzori region so as to turn it into a better place for the future generations. Mr. Robert Tibakunirwa, the local council five Chairperson for Bundibugyo district asked the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu leadership to use history to shape the new chapter for purposes of promoting unity, reconciliation, co-existence and putting a conducive working environment among cultural institutions in the region.
