More details had emerged about the attacks on military detachments in Bundibugyo district with the report identifying the master minder as one Mr. Asuman Muganzi Mikirania of Kakukha II Village, Kakukha Parish, Sindila Subcounty.
According to the police report in Bundibugyo, Mr. Mikirani allegedly drew attackers from Bundibugyo and neighboring Kagadi districts under the pretense of renovating his shrine since 26th October 2025.
They reportedly administered charms at the shrine and then attackers were dispatched under the command of Mikirani’s son to Malindi military detachment at about 3:00 a.m where two suspected attackers, including a woman, were killed. According to the report, fifteen attackers were captured alive, including. Mr. Baluku Kakoko, 28, Mr. Edison Birere, 36, Isaac Maate, 42, Dauda Agaba 31, and two minors, reportedly from the district of Bundibugyo, Kasese, and Kampala among others. END
