The former Member of Parliament for Bukonzo County East, Hon. Aprunali Kithende Kalibogha has been remanded by the Kasese chief magistrate’s court until 21st. December 2022 for plea taking and submission of Bail application.
Court Presided over by the Chief magistrate, Her Worship Betty Ajok Betty heard that while in Rwentutu village in Lake Katwe Sub County in Kasese district, Hon. Kithende reportedly disobeyed lawful Orders threatened and trespassed on Rwentutu land owned by the Diocese of Kasese.
The defense Counsels representing Hon. Kithende Aprunali, Mr. Geoffrey Baluku Lubangula from Bagenda and co. Advocates and Mr. Geoffrey Bigogo from Tayebwa and Sibendire co. Advocates said their client was remanded because the state attorney could not appear in court.

Mr. Cleo Mumbahya, the local council one Chairperson for Rwentutu village in Lake Katwe subcounty had earlier told this radio that Hon. Kithende could have been arrested over criminal trespass, disobedience of lawful orders and threatening Violence related to the disputed land in his area between the former legislator and the Diocese of Kasese.
Mr. Mumbahya says that whereas the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Ms. Eleonora Wismer, a Swiss national who later donated to the Diocese of Kasese, Mr. Kithende has reportedly continued to confuse the local community members, some from whom collects seasonal land rent. END.
