The National Disaster emergency coordinator in the office of the Prime Minister, Brig. Stephen Oluka has hailed the smooth collaboration of development partner and individuals including the Uganda Red Cross society in donating to the internally displaced people in camps over floods.
Addressing the media shortly after receiving relief items from Red cross at Kasese primary school in Kasese town, Brig. Oluka who said that government had donated forty tones of posho, a number of taplins and jerrycans described the food relief to the people in camps as timely to thse people in need. Brig. The Kasese RDC Kasese district, Lt Joe Walusimbi who said that each camp had been assigned medics for their safety said that the floods will not disrupt any of the previous Presidential directives on COVID-19.
