Breastfeeding is a key component to good health of a child, Sister Loi Muhindo Sekalombi, the Kasese district assistant health officer has said.
Speaking to this radio at the Kasese district headquarters yesterday, Ms. Loi says breast milk supplies all the necessary nutrients in their proper proportions, protects against allergies, sickness, and obesity among babies.
She said breastfeeding is vital in protecting a baby against diseases, like diabetes, cancer and other related infections. Ms. Loi speaking1…….
Ms Loi who asked parents to invest enough in breast milk, asked mothers to remind their daughters in law to breastfeed their children for at least six mothers before other soft foods can be applied.
