The UWA Leadership in collaboration with sister security operatives have launched Bomb program aimed at scaring away stray wild life including elephants that have turned a big challenge to the farmers neighboring the national parks in Kasese district.
The Kasese Municipal Central Division chairperson, Mr. Martin Safari said that the practical launch to the community was basically to prepare and also to make them identify the difference between these specific and strange bombs. Police Exploding Bombs ………
Speaking to the press shortly after the launch, Mr. Safari asked the local community to support the UWA detach that has been established in Kikozo cell to engage roaming wild animals.
The Kasese Deputy RDC, Mr. Joshua Masereka who asked the local population to protect wildlife as a revenue source to enhance service delivery said that the destructive elephants epecifically had got used to common gun shots and that the new innovation would save the situation. The law enforcement and security officer in Queen Elizabeth conservation area, Mr. John Muhangi said their operation would involve local leaders whom he said know better the escape routes of the elephants. END.
