Police have handed over to the family the body of a 28 year old woman who reportedly drowned in the KCCL hydro power water feeder channel.
SP Luke Mbusa, the Police Community Liaison’s officer for Rwenzori East Region, confirmed the development that the body of Sylvia Nyakeisiki, a resident of Kisonjo cell in Mubuku town council, had been handed over to the family.
According to SP Mbusa, the late Sylvia, the 12th fatality in the channel and suspect of stress, had got out of the house allegedly to ease herself at a round 4am but never returned before her body was discovered during a search by Hima police, backed by the community members and the deceased’s relatives.
