The local residents, mainly boda-boda raiders in Kibiri, Muhokya subcounty in Kasese district have threatened to stage a peaceful demonstration over what they call the poor state of the Muhokya-Kibiri road that connects to the neighboring Mahango subcounty.
Speaking to our reporter during a communal work along the road, Mr. Joshua Bwambale, the area local council one chairperson like Mr. Kambasu Kyabughirwe, Mr, Jostus Kitiri, among other local residents, said the road that was largely damaged by heavy rains, was a frustration to agriculture and the popular Parish Development Model strategy whose inputs and outputs cannot easily be transported.
The group that was worried about the expectant and breastfeeding mothers, described as tasking to ride a commercial motorcycle procured on loan and joining communal work, thus, asking their local leaders to wake up or they will demonstrate. Mr. Bwambale and others……
Responding to the concerns, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi, the Kasese district local council five chairperson, said he was aware about the situation he said his technical team at the district was internalizing, and that a report was soon about the possibility of diverting the costly potty road as demanded by the locals.
