National Unity Platform’s presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has called for unity of all people irrespective of their religious inclinations.
Kyagulanyi who was addressing his supporters at the Mpumudde estates primary school grounds in Jinja city this afternoon, noted that Ugandans are one irrespective of their multiple tribal inclinations.
He said some leaders are taking advantage of the tribal differences to create divisions amongst the people rather than uniting for national causes.
Kyagulanyi said that if elected to power, his government will ensure unity of all people, irrespective of who they are.
He says this unity will be attained through fair distribution of national resources across board, enabling all Ugandans to have equal share of their country.
In the morning, a combined force of both UPDF and police had cut off different roads in Jinja city ahead of the National Unity Platform-NUP’s presidential rallies in Jinja city, to control rowdy procession. END
